Reignition Personal Training
Reignite. Rebuild. Transform.
One-to-one personal training for every age and every ability — built on thirty years of leading, coaching and training people when it mattered most.
About
Thirty years getting people ready for the hardest days of their lives.
I joined the Fire and Rescue Service as a firefighter and left three decades later as a Group Commander. I came in at the bottom and worked my way up — and almost all of that climb was about people.
Leading crews. Mentoring recruits. Coaching teams. Running training. Underneath every rank I held was the same job: helping people do more than they believed they could, safely, with someone in their corner who actually knew what they were asking of them.
Fitness was never separate from that. Staying ready for the job meant a lifetime of training — my own, and my team's. That experience is now backed by Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in personal training, and it is yours to use.
Nobody arrives ready. That is the entire point of training.

What we can work on together
Every plan is built around one person — you. These are the places people usually start.
-
01
One-to-one personal training
Sessions designed around your goals, your body and your week — not a template. You get my full attention, every time.
-
02
Strength & conditioning
Strength that shows up in real life: carrying, lifting, climbing stairs without thinking about it. Built patiently, with good technique first.
-
03
Endurance & event prep
A first 5k, a first marathon, a hundred-mile ride. I have trained for all of them myself, and I know what the months beforehand actually look like.
-
04
Starting from scratch
Never trained, or coming back after years away? This is the most common place to begin — and there is nothing to be embarrassed about.
-
05
Staying strong later on
Training that protects balance, bone strength and independence, so you keep doing the things you like doing for as long as possible.
-
06
Fitness for physical jobs
Emergency services, trades, shift work. Preparing for a fitness test or staying capable in a demanding role — this is the world I came from.
Who it's for
All ages. All abilities. No exceptions.
Personal training has a reputation for being for people who are already fit. That has never been what this is. If you are willing to start, there is a version of this that fits you.
- Complete beginners who have never set foot in a gym
- Anyone returning after injury, illness or a long time away
- Older adults who want to stay strong, steady and independent
- People with a specific event or goal in the diary
- Shift workers fitting training around an awkward week
- Anyone who has tried before, lost momentum, and wants to go again
How it works
Four steps, no mystery
-
1
A conversation
Free, no pressure, no sales pitch. We talk about where you are now, what you want, and whether I am the right person to help.
-
2
A plan around your life
Built for the time, energy and equipment you actually have — not the week you wish you had.
-
3
Training together
Someone in your corner who knows when to push and when to ease off. Thirty years of reading people is hard to switch off.
-
4
Progress you can see
We track it properly, so on the weeks it does not feel like it is working, you can look back and know that it is.
Practising what I preach
I do not ask anyone to do anything I am not doing myself.
Marathons. Hundred-mile bike rides. Training that has stayed consistent through shift work, promotions, and raising a family. I still challenge myself, because I think you lose the right to ask it of other people the moment you stop asking it of yourself.
Away from training I am a husband and a dad of two grown-up children. Friendly, enthusiastic and adaptable is how people tend to describe me — and adaptable is the one that matters most when we are building something around your life.
- MarathonsRun, trained for, and survived
- 100+ milesIn a single day, on two wheels
- 30 yearsOf training through a demanding career
